Aaron Crowell started playing ukulele in the 9th grade. About two years later his brother, Rustin, decided he wanted to learn to play the ukulele, so Aaron taught him.

The Ka'au Crater Boys were then introduced to Aaron by Rustin. Aaron became a full-fledged ukulele player after hearing Troy Fernandez play. Aaron continues to play guitar, ukulele, bass in many different styles, including Rock, Pop, Country, Blues, Hawaiian, Finger Style, and Slack Key.

Aaron began teaching at Hawaii Music Supply in 2007 and has since taught and learned from hundreds of students. He also performs and teaches ukulele and guitar throughout the United States.
